How to Be a Man and Take Charge
There’s a room of people shuffling around in panic, everyone is bouncing of walls like mice trying to do Something, Anything to fix the situation at hand. On the surface, this just seems like another problem that will be solved sooner or later HOWEVER this is also a gold mine.
Yes, you better get your axes ready coz I'm about to deliver you an Article worth a hell of alot more than Gold. The situation right here is the perfect opportunity for you to BE A MAN AND TAKE CHARGE.
So you ask, why should I dirty my hands? I’ll tell ya why.
Regardless of whether or not this situation has anything to do with you, if you
become the hero, I repeat, if you become the hero and save the day, everyone
will shower praise on to you. Hell, do you feel that, it’s raining manliness
and I’m ready to swim.
Reasons To Take
Charge:
- When you solve the problem, you have permission to stroke your ego.
- It has been granted oh fellow man. People will look up to you.
- It opens a number of doors socially, in the workplace and with lady loves.
- You become seen as reliable and you etch yourself into people’s memory as the ‘Fix It Guy’. Trust me when I say, you want to be the ‘Fix It Guy’.
- You'll start to believe in yourself, it boosts your confidence and makes you the guy who is ‘Capable’.
- As much as we all want to take charge, most of us don’t.
- If you act on it, you’ll be it.
- Leaders are given respect.
This applies to so many aspects of our lives. I know that
being a leader comes with some warnings and it’s perfectly fine to take heed to
those but in becoming a Great leader, you have to do exactly that, become a
leader by taking charge.
I’m going to provide you with a list of prerequisites before
you act on a situation. I promise you that these questions will equip you with
the knowledge required to take charge at the Best time possible.
Ask yourself these
questions:
Can I fix the situation? Is it worth being fixed?
Who in this room is influential?
What can I get out of taking charge in this particular situation?
As selfish as this sound’s, it’s for your benefit. Think
about it, instead of waiting for some other guy to come save the day and steal
all the limelight, why don't you beat him to the punch. You wait for the
perfect moment, maybe there’s some girl you've had your eye on or your boss is
in the room and you quickly think of your first move and act on it. You'll get that person’s attention.
That’s the golden card here, acting on your first move. The
rest will follow. Why? Because of the arrival of a sweet friend called ADRENALIN.
Adrenalin will kick your mind into hyper drive, you blur out all the eyes on
you, the nerves, the anxiety and you simply take charge like a macho man (insert macho macho man song here).
When you take charge I want you to remember a few things. No
matter what, always speak with
conviction. Regardless of whether or not you’re sure about what you're doing, do it confidently. When you
see things going wrong, simply stop, re-evaluate and start over. Most
importantly, don’t fret the small stuff.
The reason we have presidents, CEO’s, Principals, Headmasters is because people need to be lead. As much as we hate to admit it,
there’s a sense of comfort in knowing someone is leading us into the pits of
hell…I’m just messing with you (not really). You get the point right? Leaders
are around because We want them to be around.
We expect these leaders to take
charge so we can follow them.
Just be the leader. In a relationship, if you take charge,
your lady will know that you’re opinionated and not a carpet to be walked all
over. If you take charge in the office
at the best time, your boss will know you're more than just a wuss.
You’ll be treated with Respect!
I wish some miraculous guide could fall into my lap with
everything to be known about taking charge but that’s just a pipe dream. Taking charge is unique, each Man
executes it differently and has results that are unique to his situation. You
learn from acting out which is the best guide any person could ever ask for.
Lead yourself towards
Respect, Others will follow.
